About the Band
Grab your dancing shoes, grab yourself and get ready for a rollicking good time with Winnipeg's hottest pair -TARRY TROUSERS! The lads play a boisterous blend of Celtic/Maritime music guaranteed to please young and old alike. TARRY TROUSERS is fronted by multi-instrumentalists Rob Rheubottom and Mark Cameron. Longtime stalwarts of the Manitoba music scene, Mark and Rob originally teamed up as the rhythm section for the popular Celtic group - the Dust Rhinos. A musical partnership grew out of their mutual eccentricities and love of Celtic/Maritime music. Whether performing on CBC's Culture Shock, Friday Night Vibes, or A-Channel's Big Breakfast Club, at large events like the Pan Am Games or the Festival du Voyageur, promotional shows for the Downtown or Exchange District Business Associations, or onstage at weekly house gigs such as the King's Head (voted best pub in the city - Uptown Magazine!), Toad On Main (voted best new restaurant - Wpg Free Press!), as well as regular stops such as the Wpg's newest pub the Cock and Mussel, the Toad On Osborne or the Irish Club, THE TROUSERED ONES serve up the tunes piping hot along with a healthy dash of downhome humour.
